The news was announced yesterday that the Sisters of Charity are to quit their hospitals. In the process, their three hospitals will give up their Catholic ethos.
David Quinn and Dr Peter Boylan discussed the implications of this on The Last Word. David made the point that, with or without the Catholic Church, Irish people must decide whether they want their hospitals to be pro-life or pro-choice? If the later, then hospitals will be given permission to end the lives of unborn patients and in time maybe of the old and infirm as well. This is an attack on true medicine.
The main section of their discussion can be heard here [1].
David also appeared on Today with Sean O’Rourke. His contribution can be heard here [2].
