On the rise of atheism in the UK

New research from the UK seems to indicate that there are now more atheists than theists in the UK. David Quinn, of the Iona Institute, and Colin Morrison of Atheist NI, discuss the research on Talkback, BBC Radio Ulster. They debate whether the change is good or bad for society. David Quinn argues that it is bad because religion promotes all sorts of behaviour of benefit to society such as getting married, staying married, having children, giving more time and money to society and so on. He also says that if God is objectively real, then this is the most important fact there is and we should seek out God’s will and do it.
