Fifty five percemt of Irish people in their 30s also trust the President.

However, no other group or institution is trusted by a majority of people in this age group.

Only 41pc trust the judiciary, with the same number trusting charities, while 43pc trust Google.

Twenty nine percent trust international business leaders, while only 22pc trust Irish business leaders.

Twenty four percent trust non-governmental agencies, but only 20pc trust Irish trade unions.

The survey also showed that a significant number of young people believe they cannot afford to have a baby

Overall, 33pc of those in their thirties said their financial situation led them to question whether they could start a family, compared to 22pc of people overall.

The survey was conducted among 1,000 adults aged from 20 to 49 between October 18-24.
