Report highlights latest anti-Christian incidents in Europe

A new report highlights some of the
latest attacks on Christian targets in Europe over the last few months.

The attacks range from vandalism of
a crib in Belgium, to anti-Catholic graffiti being spray-painted on four
churches in Malaga, Spain, to an arson attack on a chapel in France.

The report from is the latest the
Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination in Vienna.

In one incident, four Catholic
churches in Malaga, had slogans spray-painted onto them including, “Get your
rosaries off my ovaries”, “Mary wanted to abort” and “Church=Dictatorship”. The
interior of one of the churches was also targeted by vandals, who dropped
balloons filled with red paint and smashed a statue of the Virgin Mary.

The chapel in the town of Aibre in
France was the target of deliberate arson, while in Belgium a nativity scene
was vandalised.

In Basel, Switzerland, a radical
Muslim organisation known as the Islamic Central Bureau of Switzerland (IZRS)
has been distributing a text called “The Book of Simplified Comment”
on the street. Among other things, the book suggests murdering Christians and
Jews and taking their money.

In Scotland a street preacher, was arrested was arrested and charged with “a
breach of the peace and using homophobic language”, for publically talking
about “sexual sin” including “adultery, promiscuity and homosexual practice”.
