The French take to the streets again in defence of the true rights of children

At the weekend Paris saw the third massive demonstration in
just a few months against same-sex marriage and for the true and authentic
rights of children.

Last weekend’s demonstration, attended by hundreds of
thousands of people, took place only days after the French government legalized
same-sex marriage. However, opponents have shown they will not go away. Too
much is at stake.

What is at stake, what are opponents of same-sex marriage
trying to uphold? In essence, a child’s right to a mother and father, the
importance of the natural ties, the fact that the differences between the two
sexes are real and aren’t a mere ‘social construct’, the fact that the sexes
aren’t simply interchangeable.

They are also defending freedom of conscience and religion against the enormous threat to both posed by same-sex marriage.

For a taste of the demonstration, this short video is worth a look. Once again, the level of organisation that went into the demonstration
was simply incredible.
